Epic World Leisure Group plc was incorporated in 2003 as a holding company to finance and develop a leisure facility and roller coaster on Southend Pier. The Group has an office in Southend and has three subsidiaries:

a) Epic World Leisure Management Ltd
b) Epic World Leisure Ltd  (formerly Southend Whiteknuckle Entertainments Limited)
c) Workpound Ltd

Anthony J S Garner
 (Chairman)

A resident of Southend for the past 22 years, Mr Garner is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group since 1995.  He was Chief Executive Officer of Ionic Fuel Technology Inc. and a director since the Company’s inception in December 1991. From December 1990 until October 1991, Mr. Garner was a private investor. From June 1988 until December 1990, Mr. Garner was Chief Executive Officer and managing director of Sigma Corp. Ltd., a manufacturer of custom gauges for the aerospace industry. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Winchmore Plc, and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Sykes plc a leading Company in specialized manufacturing and plant hire to the construction industry.

Mr Giles (AB; MBA; JD) has been a director of the Company
since its formation. Mr. Giles is an American lawyer and English solicitor who has practiced as a commercial and international lawyer in London for the last 30 years. Mr. Giles has extensive experience in the leisure business. He is a director of the Harbour Club Milan and a former director of the Harbour Club London and Aspria Holdings B.V., a Dutch Company developing leisure clubs in Europe. He is also former chairman of Burke Mountain, a ski and leisure development in Vermont, USA. Mr. Giles is senior partner of Rawlings Giles Sher LLP, a law firm with offices in London, Paris and Brussels. Mr. Giles is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, USA and the Law Society of England and Wales.
